Who I am

My name is Jeni. I began painting as a way to calm my anxiety and destress from an impossible job.  Painting while listening to music a few hours a week became my therapy, my happy place.

I have always felt that I could see faces in everyday objects. Maybe it’s just my imagination. Then one day I heard the term “pareidolia” while watching TV. I started taking pictures when I’d see a “face” looking back at me. Those faces became the inspiration for my paintings. What I really enjoy is that when I sit down to paint, the end results are always so different in style. It’s as if I bring the beings to life in their own special way.

Of course this means I now have a bunch of paintings laying around in need of a home.  So this led to my plan to give them away randomly, in order to spread a little cheer.  Giving always makes a person feel better.

If you’ve found a painting, I hope it made you smile and brought you a little joy.

My sweet Murray is usually by my side as I paint. So, of course, I had to include him here.
